Job Description

JOB OVERVIEW:

  • To create and maintain credit policies for consumer finance products and plan the cost and headcount involved in the credit underwriting function arising from changes in credit policies and business plans.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Developing a Risk Management Framework

  • Design, implement, review, and periodically update key components of the risk management framework, ensuring compliance with the regulations of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) and requirements from external regulatory authorities.
  • Develop and maintain the Risk Management Framework Policy, Credit Risk Management Policy, Lending Policy, and other policies in accordance with the governance framework of the parent bank, Krungsri.
  • Develop and periodically review the Risk Appetite Statement (RAS) and its related components.
  • Establish and maintain credit risk limits.
  • Develop and maintain the policy on delegated authority for credit approval.
  • Research and analyze the impact of changes to risk management policies, processes, and credit risk limit frameworks to ensure the effectiveness of the company-wide risk management framework.

Internal Reporting & Risk Monitoring

  • Lead the development of internal credit risk reports.
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to prepare and finalize periodic and ad hoc credit risk reports for the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV).

Other Responsibilities

  • Serve as Secretary to the Risk Management Committee, including preparing meeting materials and agendas, drafting meeting minutes and resolutions, coordinating meeting logistics (e.g., scheduling and interpretation), and monitoring follow-up actions after meetings.
  • Serve as the focal point for responding to official correspondence from the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) regarding credit risk matters, as assigned by authorized management.
  • Participate in reviewing and developing credit assessment and approval principles for SHBFinance's products.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirement

Qualifications & Experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in developing credit risk and/or enterprise risk management policies within a banking or financial services environment.
  • Sound knowledge of risk management principles and practices.
  • Thorough understanding of the Law on Credit Institutions and the regulations of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) relating to credit risk management and credit granting.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong ability to prepare, analyze, and present numerical data accurately and effectively.
  • Ability to meet established timelines and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong multitasking skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with relevant stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Results-oriented with a strong focus on problem-solving and delivering practical solutions.
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
